With Dapper’s free Dapp Factory , you can create a feed out of any site! I went ahead and tried this with the statistics page of my current SportingNews Stratomatic online team. The results appear to update instantly after scores at SportingNews come in. To build the feed I sorted the stats to get the top home run hitters and then went on over to Dapper.net to create my RSS feed. To have the look & feel more appealing, I changed the feed into a Google Gadget. There are a few glitches so it can take a bit of tinkering to get the output that you want. If your site requires a login you will need to use it for your ‘Dapp’ but if you want to go back and edit your ‘Dapp’ the login doesn’t seem to work so you need to create an entirely new ‘Dapp’ if you want to make a change. I also found that Dapper won’t ,at times, give you the correct column order. You may have an RSS feed which lists the value first and then the player’s name afterwards, for instance. Despite these minor drawbacks, Dapper is very cool and simple!

Do you prefer playing in pitcher ballparks or hitter ballparks? Personally, I prefer playing in pitcher parks. Below are some tips that I have learned:

1. It is better to have a player with more on-base coming exclusively from hits in the second or third spot of the line-up and to have a lead-off with a bit less of on-base.

2. Avoid sluggers with several BP(Ball Park) home runs. Of the one or two sluggers that will make your team, go for those players with the most direct home runs.

3. In pitcher parks where the on-base is high (AT&T Park, Fenway Park), a good strategy is to turn to players with many doubles and triples.

4. For pitchers look for WHIPS that are composed of short singles and walks. A pitcher that gives up some BP home runs is fine in a pitcher park but pitchers that give up a lot of long singles (SI**) and doubles will be a problem. Also, a good hold rating is important since stealing becomes a little more important in a pitcher park.

5. Good defense up the middle
